Future perspectives: Tech evolution in China and the UK
On 23 October we hosted a hybrid event in Birmingham in collaboration with Browne Jacobson, entitled Future perspectives: Tech evolution in China and the UK. Speakers included Richard Nicholas on Legal and practical considerations from AI projects, Chris Magennis from Avail on how the fast pace of AI innovation is causing issues for product providers and their clients, and Maria Amelia Odetti from Adiacent International who provided insight into the Chinese government's support for generative AI, and the role of AI in China's digital landscape. The hybrid event attracted attendees in-person and online.
Reception at Innholders Hall
On 3 July, ECBF hosted a drinks and canapes reception at the prestigious Innholders Hall London attended by about 25 guests. The evening saw the launch of the Chinese Labour Corps Memorial initiative by Bill Good of China West Midlands Group with ECBF as the national sponsor for the CLC Corps Memorial project. The evening was also ingrated by prolific author, Mark O'Neill as our guest speaker to promote his latest book "The Island".
Welcoming Xiangxi Delegation
On behalf of ECBF, James, Angela, Zo and Nancy attended a welcoming event in conjunction with the visit from the trade and tourism delegation from Xiangxi, Hunan. Special thanks to Zo and colleagues at Browne Jacobson for hosting the meeting. ECBF looks forward to continuing dialogue and co-operation with Xiangxi businesses..
